Student government has been a part of Park since the very beginning, but complications with COVID-19 forced it to end as many other things were shut down. Park teachers, Whitt and Weisbrod, expressed interest in bringing student government back. Whitt, one of the advisors stated, “We are very excited to provide students with the opportunity to share their opinion, make their voices heard, and enact real change.”
Members of student government are able to plan things like dances, assemblies, spirit weeks, and many other fun activities that help grow school pride. It is important for students to feel heard at their schools.
The meetings are held every day in room 273 during advisory, with the advisors Whitt and Weisbrod. To get involved email one of the advisors or come to room 273 during advisory.
