People like to watch scary movies on Halloween but are actually viewed year-round.

Here are some movies to watch if you need a good scare: The Ring, The Conjuring, and Insidious. The Ring came out in October this year and has made over $249 million; The Conjuring came out in 2013 and has grossed over $320 million, and Insidious is the oldest film on the list released in 2011 and has made over $100 million.

The Ring (PG-13)

The ring is a American supernatural horror film directed by Gore Verbinski from a screenplay by Ehren Kruger, starring Naomi Watts playing Rachel Keller, Martin Henderson as Noah Clay, David Dorfman playing as Aidan Keller, Brian Cox playing as Richard Morgan, and Daveigh Chase as Samara Morgan. It is a remake of Hideo Nakata’s 1998 Japanese horror film Ring, based on Koji Suzuki’s 1991 eponymous novel. Watts portrays a journalist who investigates a cursed videotape that seemingly kills the viewer seven days after watching it.

The Conjuring

Paranormal investigators Ed played by (Patrick Wilson) and Lorraine played by (Vera Farmiga) Warren work to help a family terrorized by a dark presence in their farmhouse. In 1971, Carolyn and Roger Perron move their family into a dilapidated Rhode Island farm house and soon strange things start happening around it with escalating nightmarish terror.

Insidious

A family looks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their comatose child in a realm called The Further. This is a gripping story of a family in search of help for their son, Dalton played by (Ty Simpkins), who fell into a coma after a mysterious incident in the attic of the house that they are staying in.
