May 15, 2023
Chocoflan is an easy and tasty pastry dish that is good to bring to any event. This dish is typically made with chocolate cake, but can be made with strawberry.
Ingredients
Chocolate (or strawberry) cake box
6 eggs
½ cup oil
1 cup oil
4 oz. cream cheese
1 can of condensed milk
1 can of evaporated milk
½ cup mini colorful marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla extract
Caramel syrup
Directions
- Make Your Cake Batter
In a mixture bowl combine the cake bag, 3 eggs, ½ cup of oil, and 1 cup of milk. Mix the ingredients together and set aside.
2. Preheat Oven To 350 degrees
3. Make your flan
In a blender combine 4 oz. of cream cheese, 1 can of condensed milk, 1 can of evaporated milk, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and ½ cup of mini colorful marshmallows. Blend the ingredients together and set aside.
4. Prepare Your Mold
With a donut shaped mold cover/glaze the bottom portion of the mold with caramel syrup. Spray the rest of the mold with non-stick cooking spray.
5. Combine The Mixtures
Put the cake batter in the mold first. Then, SLOWLY pour in the flan, preventing mixture.
6. Prepare To Bake
In a bigger mold, fill it with hot water (we will be baking the mixture in this mold of water). Make sure water is filled enough to cover majority of the chocoflan mold.
7. Bake
Put the mixture in the mold of water and leave in the preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes
8. Check On Your Chocoflan
To check if your chocoflan is fully baked, poke it with a fork/knife on all sides. If excess is still on the fork/knife leave it in the oven for another 15 minutes. Repeat this process till fully baked.
9. Take Out Your Chocoflan
With oven mitts take your chocoflan out of the oven and get ready to take it out of the mold right away. Get a serving plate to put your chocoflan on. Place the plate on top of the mold and flip it upside down, hopefully causing your chocoflan to come out.
10. Enjoy
Chocoflan is usually meant to be eaten cold/room temperature, so be sure to store it in the fridge.
