Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe content published on parkbeacon.org uses your copyrighted material without authorization in a way that constitutes infringement, you have the right to submit a formal DMCA takedown notice.
To be legally valid under U.S. law, your notice must contain each of the following elements without exception.
Your full legal name, whether you are submitting as an individual or on behalf of a company or organization. Your complete contact information including a working email address, a phone number where you can be reached, and a physical mailing address. A clear description of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed, with enough detail for us to identify it. The specific URL or URLs on parkbeacon.org where the allegedly infringing material currently appears. A written statement declaring that you have a good-faith belief the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, any agent of the owner, or the law. A declaration under penalty of perjury confirming that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are either the copyright owner or a person legally authorized to act on their behalf. Your physical or electronic signature completing the notice.
Notices that are missing any of the above elements may be considered incomplete and could result in delays or rejection of the request.
Where to Send Your Notice
All DMCA takedown notices should be directed to Robert Beaudoin at the following contact.
Email: desk.parkbeacon@gmail.com Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Request
We aim to acknowledge and begin reviewing all valid notices within 72 hours of receipt. Response times may vary depending on submission volume and the complexity of the claim.
What Happens After We Receive Your Notice
Once a complete and valid DMCA notice is received, parkbeacon.org will review the claim against the content in question, remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material if the claim is substantiated, notify the contributor or editor responsible for the content where applicable, and maintain an internal record of the action taken for compliance purposes. We reserve the right to request additional supporting documentation before taking action if the claim requires further verification.
Counter-Notification Process
If your content was removed from parkbeacon.org as a result of a DMCA notice and you believe that removal was made in error or based on a misidentification of the material, you may file a formal counter-notification.
A valid counter-notification must include your full legal name as an individual or organization. Your complete contact information including email, phone number, and physical address. A clear identification of the content that was removed, including the URL where it appeared on parkbeacon.org before removal. A statement made under penalty of perjury declaring that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed due to a mistake or misidentification. A statement confirming that you consent to the jurisdiction of U.S. federal courts for any legal dispute arising from the notice. Your physical or electronic signature.
Counter-notifications should be submitted to the following.
Email: desk.parkbeacon@gmail.com Subject Line: DMCA Counter-Notice
If your counter-notification is found to be valid and complete, parkbeacon.org may restore the removed content within 10 to 14 business days unless the original complainant initiates legal proceedings and obtains a court order preventing restoration.
Repeat Infringement
parkbeacon.org maintains a strict policy regarding users or contributors who repeatedly submit content that infringes on the intellectual property of others. Individuals who are the subject of multiple valid DMCA claims may be permanently blocked from submitting content to our platform, restricted from accessing certain features of the site, and reported to relevant authorities where required by U.S. law. We are committed to maintaining a publishing environment that respects the rights of all content creators.
How We Use Third-Party Content
parkbeacon.org may incorporate third-party material in our reporting under the following conditions. Fair use excerpts used for commentary, criticism, or news reporting purposes. Publicly available information sourced and attributed to its origin. Content licensed for use through appropriate agreements. Official statements, government documents, and public domain materials. We make every reasonable effort to credit sources accurately and completely. If you believe an attribution on our site is incorrect, incomplete, or entirely missing, please notify us and we will address it promptly.
Good Faith Is Required From All Parties
Submitting a DMCA takedown notice or counter-notification that you know to be false or misleading is a violation of U.S. federal law and can expose you to significant legal liability. parkbeacon.org expects all parties engaging with this process to act honestly and in good faith. Abuse of the DMCA process will not be tolerated and may be referred to appropriate legal authorities.
