A Quick Guide to Your 7 Chakras
December 2, 2020
If you are unfamiliar with the 7 chakras and what they block and balance this guide is perfect for you. Chakras are focal points on the human body filled with flowing energy centers. Each of these points connects to a bundle of nerves or organs of the body. To function at their best, your chakras need to stay open, or balanced. If they get blocked, you may experience physical or emotional symptoms related to a particular chakra.
How do you know if one of your chakras is blocked or balanced?
Crown Chakra (top of the head): In the state of a blocked crown chakra you may experience migraines, loneliness, insignificance, and strong attachments to material possessions. When your crown chakra is balanced you shall feel connected to earth, gratitude, and self appreciation.
Third Eye Chakra (between the eyebrows):When you have a blocked third eye chakra you can experience a difficulty in making decisions, frustration that something is wrong, headaches, and struggle to find meaning in life. When the third eye chakra is balanced you will act with confidence, have a strong sense of your own inner truth, and be truthful.
Throat Chakra (hollow of throat): If your throat chakra is blocked you will experience fear of speaking up, frustration because you don’t feel that other people hear what you have to say, and sore throat. When your throat chakra is open and balanced you are comfortable speaking your truth, knowing you are responsible for expressing yourself, and feel that you are heard.
Heart Chakra (center of chest): In the state of a blocked heart chakra you may fear commitment, put a guard up from hurt from past relationships, and experience heart disease or allergies. In the state of your heart chakra being balanced you may find it easy to give and receive love, love yourself unconditionally, and feel a sense of gratitude for how wonderful your life is.
Solar Plexus Chakra (above the navel): When you have a blocked solar plexus chakra you can experience feeling powerless or victimized, difficulty taking action on your dreams due to low self-esteem, and stomach pains/anxiety. When the third eye chakra is balanced you’ll have a strong sense of your own power and how to use it, trust in your inner guidance, and no need to look to other people for confirmation/validation.
Sacral Chakra (below the belly): This is your physical center. If your sacral chakra is blocked you will have difficulty allowing yourself to become emotionally intimate, experience feelings of abuse, hurt, or confusion, and could be involved in strings of unsuccessful, toxic relationships. When this chakra is balanced and open you will feel a strong sense of your sexuality and realize you are creative in all your endeavors.
Root Chakra (base of the spine): In the state of a blocked root chakra you may have feelings of being stuck and sluggish, hatred and anger toward your body, and financial problems. When you have a nice balanced root chakra you’ll have a strong connection with family, feel content with your body, and feel safe on Earth and on your path.
How do you unblock your chakras?
Every person finds their own way to unblock their chakras, especially because everyone’s are slightly different in the sense that you are your own person. Some easy at home techniques include mantras, meditation, yoga, essential oils, deep breathing, and nutrition. When unblocking each chakra, keep in mind your intentions. Force your mind and energy to the focal point of your body of the targeted chakra. Limit all distractions and simply focus on your inner energy.
What is the importance of your chakras?
Many people don’t necessarily practice chakra health or believe in it. Balancing chakras can impact all areas of your life for they are transmitters and receptors, meaning the way you give energy will be the way you will receive it in your life and physical body. Chakra practice isn’t for everyone but give it a try. You might discover something about yourself and/or become more connected with your mind and body.
