The Park track team is looking for redemption this season after failing to advance to the WIAA D1 State Meet last year.

Despite graduating three seniors who were a part of the Panther’s strong 4x400m relay, the 4×4 is still expected to be a dominant force this year. With returning seniors Rashaad Henderson and Joseph Jutley, the 4×400 is sought to place at the sectional meet this year. The prospective third member of the relay will be Carter Sura (So.) – a talented cross country runner who missed XC state by just 10 seconds. Another event that might stun spectators is the Panther’s Distance Medley Relay (DMR), consisting of Henderson, Jutley, Sura, and another talented XC runner – Jordan Phillips (Jr.)

There are definitely some key athletes to watch this season. Henderson, who is a returning letter-winner and captain, was one place off of state in the 100m last year. He earned a fourth place finish at the Greenfield sectional meet and  was also a part of the 2019 4x400m relay. This season, he wants to advance to the state meet in the 200m dash and the 4x400m relay. Despite never running on varsity, Jutley will surely turn some heads as he attempts to qualify for state in the 800m and 4x400m relay. Sura wants to qualify for the state meet in the 800m and the mile.

With returning athletes, and a handful of new faces, the Panthers hope to put themselves back on the map as the start of the season approaches.
