The Washington Park Panthers are looking to make some noise this track season.  A top returner is Isaiah Martin who qualified for the state meet in the high jump in 2018. The relays teams are focused on rewriting last season’s sectional meet.

At the Mukwonago Sectional Meet all of Park’s relays failed to qualify for the state meet.  In the 4×400 relay Park’s team of Isaiah Martin, Yamil Ramos, Rashaad Henderson and Jordan Marshall was seeded first due to their victory at the Bradford regional meet, earned a fifth place finish. The 4×200 relay (DaShawn Bolten, Cameron Marshall, Logan McBride, and Rashaad Henderson) sought to make it to state, was also fifth, just behind Horlick, who won the 4×200 relay at the regional meet. Finally in the 4×100 relay, (Bolten, Marshall, McBride, and Henderson) the Panthers placed seventh.

Last year the team was very young but were still competing strong all the way to the sectional meet. The 4×200 and 4×100 relays didn’t graduate any members at the end of last season so look for fast times from them. In the 2019 track season, the Panthers have a strong squad, with leadership from returning seniors, Isaiah Martin, who was Park’s only track athlete who went to state, and Cameron Marshall, a part of two out of three of the sectional relays.
