Shaun White is an American professional snowboarder and skateboarder. When Shaun White was nine he met Tony Hawk. Tony was his biggest inspiration and became his mentor and helped him become a pro skateboarder at the age of 17. When he got older Shaun realized he liked snowboarding more than skateboarding.

Shaun was in New Zealand training for the 2018 Winter Olympics and he crashed into the edge of a superpipe, he landed on his head. He needed to get 62 stitches across his forehead. Nothing was going to hold White back, as completed in the 2018 Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea. Shaun White came on top on his last run to win his third gold medal.

Shaun has the most gold medals in Winter X Games history with 13. He also won the 2 gold medals in the Summer X Games. He has has the most gold medals by a snowboarder in the Winter Olympics with three. Shaun said he would like to compete in skateboarding in the 2020 Summer Olympics, this is the first time skateboarding will be in the Olympics.
